The Reproductive Challenged Woman #7

Show number seven of The Reproductive Challenged Woman is one where I share a story e-mailed to me from Gretchen in New Mexico. Gretchen, though claiming to be shy, is a real force to be reckoned with. Once she conquered her mental demons, she faced the music of invitro to a tune of six times!! Yep!! Wow!!

Listen to find out how it all unfolded, and how it not only transformed her life, but how she transformed herself. As ‘relaxation’ was the key word in the last show, ‘freedom’ is the key word in this show. Gretchen applied ‘freedom’ to her mind and her life…and magic began happening.

Women that want to share

It’s awfully late…around 2:15am…but I wanted to post a quickie to thank all of you women who have offered to share the stories of your reproductively challeng journies.  Some of you are hesitant to come on my show, but still have something you want to contribute.  So yes, I am happy to be the voice behind your stories.  So as you e-mail those to me, I can air them for you…if that is your wish.

My baby girl thinks she’s on Pacific Standard Time this month!…sleeping until 11:00am (or later)…going to bed at midnite (or later)!!  We adopted her from the West Coast, so yes, she is a California girl, but I need her to sleep Eastern Standard Time!  Her 1st birthday is coming, however, and her party is scheduled for 1:00pm…hmmm….maybe it’s best I keep her on this schedule until after her party.  That way she’ll be rockin’ at 1pm…not ready to nap.

I had a conversation the other day with someone that told me she had no problems conceiving her first child.  It was her second child that gave her a difficult time.  She was declared infertile when trying for number 2.  But, against all odds, she conceived.  It made me wonder how many women find themselves fighting fertility issues after ALREADY having conceived, as opposed to women who fight those same issues, NEVER having conceived.  I guess in my mind it seems that once the wheel has turned, so to speak, it will have an easier time turning again.  But I guess that isn’t always the case.

Well, I have to try to shut my mind off for now.  But drop me a note soon with any of your thoughts, any info you want to share, and…of course…keep those stories coming!

Luv to you all!

I’m FINALLY blogging!!

Today is January 16…how fast the new year is already going!!!  I’ve wanted to get this blogging thang underway for a month now…(as was stated on my Dec. 15th show.)  But once the 17th hit (the date of the Christmas party we had at our home, entertaining 50 some people), then the actual holiday season, 2 colds, 1 flu, a trip to CA for the actual finalization of our adoption (Yahoo!!!),… all of a sudden I find myself at January 16!!!  (This is actually the birthday of a good friend of mine, Monica.  Monica was my best friend in kindergarten, and we’re still friends today!  (and I won’t even think about how many years ago THAT was!!)  She was very helpful and supportive of me when I was going through my infertility junk.  It is SO important to have friends that, even though THEY are not going through infertility problems, they are there to TRY to help, understand and listen.  So a happy b-day to you, good friend!

I truly hope to hear from some of you, get feedback from you regarding The Reproductive Challenged Woman show, and have you share with me any stories you have about your journies.

I have recently had the most amazing conversations with our birthmom, and those are some chats I want to share with you.  I NEVER would have thought I’d be THIS comfortable with an arrangement that is THIS open…even though we are not as open as some…it is VERY open.  I love our birthmom, and she loves us…it is all good.  Who would ever think it could be like that?

My baby is stirring, so I must tend to her. But I hope to get this blogging party started!  So blog me, sisters!  And I hope you have an awesome day!

The Reproductive Challenged Woman #6

My guest today is Fran Skindzier. I was referred to her by my very first guest on The Reproductive Challenged Woman, my good friend, Sue. Sue found Fran’s healing touch therapy crucial in her efforts to relax while going through her three attempts of invitro. Fran also worked with Sue’s husband, so that they could help each other as a couple, on their own, in their quest for calming relaxation.

Fran is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy and has been doing professional bodywork since 1994.
