The Reproductive Challenged Woman #9

I had recently gotten two lovely e-mails from women who had surrogacy touch each of their lives from different angles. Each story was so sweet, I had to include them in this show. Their stories took me back to OUR experience with surrogacy, and it reminded me of the crazy little adventure when we had to go across town, in a timely manner, to retrieve our embryos from where they were cryopreserved and take them for a little ride to the clinic that actually did the procedure. It was like a scene from some sitcom, but at the time it was SO not funny! We all have days where everything seems to go wrong, but the day you are doing something extremely important and extremely time sensitive…the day you are trying to achieve a once-in-a-lifetime task…well, that’s just not a good day for the _____to hit the fan!

I hope you enjoy these actual stories from what I will now call my ’surrogacy chronicles’. And maybe you might consider this path to motherhood for yourself.

The Reproductive Challenged Woman #8

Today I have a lovely guest with a beautiful story of her choice to become a single mommy. Kim Yourchisin is a woman that goes after what she wants, when she wants it. Nothing stands in Kim’s way with anything she pursues, so she wasn’t going to let anything stop her from following her dream to have a baby. After realizing that artificial insemination wasn’t for her, she considered adoption. Listen to what she had to face, until finding the agency that told her ‘You CAN do this’. As with doctors and their opinions, you should always talk to more than one when it comes to adoption agencies. (Unless, of course, you go directly to A Labor of Love Adoptions!

As I’ve said many times before, THEY will get you to your baby. When others say it may not be ‘do-able’ for you…for whatever reason…know that A Labor of Love is an agency that makes things happen…even whenever everyone else says they ‘can’t’.)
